i hate selfish people.
and it seems that everyone, not just a little, is selfish. I'll admit i do quite a few things out of pure selfishness, however, these actions are usually only concerning myself. Like buying a monitor or computer parts or a new chair or wutever. When it comes to social interactions, i try to do things for others; all my time and money goes into my friends when we're hanging out. I don't understand why it's so hard for other people to do this. Not only that i wonder why it's so hard for MY friends to do this (current bloggers excluded of course). So then wut should i do? So i treat them eye for eye? Should i keep allowing them to use me? Should i just stop talking to all of them?

so on those rare days that i get up before noon (9:50 a.m today!) i tend to read a lot of news. Today, in particular, i came across an article on the bbc: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4273125.stm

i don't understand how people can simply assume that online games are addictive.
ad·dic·tion (-dkshn)
n.

Habitual psychological and physiological dependence on a substance or practice beyond one's voluntary control.

beyond one's voluntary control is the key phrase here. I do not know anyone who cannot/does not make the conscious decision to either start or continue playing a video game.

"For some, the enjoyment turns to suffering when they become "addicted" to the games.
They no longer have the "choice" to play, but are driven to play. "

They no longer have the "choice" to play? Are you kidding me? Players always have a choice. It is because they like the game so much that they keep playing. Are we going to bastardize love also because of the things done in love's name? Are we also going to call jobs as addictions if people are "driven" to go to their jobs? (yes i know it's a pun!) I mean, dear lord, have we become so complacent with our acceptance of mediocrity, that we simply assume anything bad that happens to someone is beyond our control? If someone won't stop playing a video game because they don't want to, then OMG THEY MUST BE ADDICTED AND IT MUST BE OUT OF THEIR CONTROL??!?!?!?!??! I mean please, just because someone is an idiot, doesn't mean that you can make a categorical imperative. But as with any court case, this is purely directed towards an audience of my peers.

can someone please tell me wut's so funny about mentally retarded people? I, for one, do not find any of it funny. It's not exactly something within their control and at least these people are trying to deal with their mental retardation. UNLIKE people who are just plain STUPID, these people of our society at least try to do something, even the smallest amount, to contribute. And seeing that these people are actually TRYING to do something with their LIVES, through so much hardship, explain to me what is so funny. Does your life mean so little to you, are you so unable to deal with your own retardation that you have to laugh at people who can't control mental retardation? You're fucking sick. You disguist me.

cd review!

I'm Wide Awake It's Morning -- Bright Eyes

this cd is quite good in my opinion. there's definetly a mix of deep artistic expression with fine tuned technical uhh fine tuning :D. Anyway, the transitions are pretty well thought out, the lyrics are solid and the slow beat with a compliment of light flowing instrumentals. They're definitely a quintessential indie group. I almost imagine them to be a mix of the slower modest mouse and ben folds five. Definitely worth picking up and giving it a try! THAT MEANS YOU!

Also this is only one cd from his dual cd release. The other cd, Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, is also very good, but i dun think u really have a choice in buying them individually =P

i give it a 8 out 10 uhh cds?
